FAQ - UF Graduates
Do you have a cap & gown I can borrow?
Yes! I have an undergraduate cap & gown, a masters gown & hood, and a UF stole available for you to use! However, I strongly recommend ordering your regalia ASAP to have your correct college tassel color.
What time of the day is best to shoot?
It really depends on the weather and each location! For example, the arch on 13th and university can only be done in the afternoon. Check out my guide for best lighting time depending on specific locations!
Will I be able to go on the field if i choose the stadium?
The field is technically closed at all times and is only accessible on the designated field access days towards the end of the semester! I usually offer stadium sessions whenever they announce the field access days but we usually won’t know until the end of the semester.
Does travel time in between locations count as part of my session time?
Yes, travel time between locations is included in your total session time. For this reason, keep in mind distances between locations!
What happens if the stadium is closed?
I try my best to stay up to date with stadium closures that are posted but sometimes they can be unpredictable. For this reason, I can NOT guarantee pictures in the stadium or on the field. I will do my very best to accommodate stadium closures, however, rescheduling will not occur to accommodate stadium closures.
How many photos do I recieve?
Short answer, all of them! 3-5 days after your session, you'll receive a watermarked gallery of every single photo from your session. Along with this watermarked gallery, you'll be given instructions on how to make selections for your edited gallery depending on your package.
How long does it take for me to receive my photos?
You’ll receive your unedited gallery within 3-5 days after your session. Once you’ve selected your favorites for editing, my turnaround time is about 2 weeks! This time varies depending on the time of year. You can choose a rush turnaround time to receive your edited photos within 72 hours of selection for only an additional $75! This option can be chosen through my booking site.
What should I bring for my shoot?
I recommend bringing a comfy pair of shoes to wear in between locations, some makeup essentials (or hairspray, hairbrush, etc.) or water that you might need along the way! If you're changing outfits then bring that too!
Can I purchase more edited photos than my package includes?
Yes! Additional edited images may be purchased at $5 per image.
Are the inside of the stadium, bullgator statue, and Gatorwalk separate locations?
Yes, each spot requires us to pack up our equipment and account for travel and transition time between them, so they’re treated as individual locations within your session.
What if I'm not good at posing?
I’m here to help! I'll guide you through poses and will help you throughout the entirety of your shoot! You can also save some pics for inspiration to recreate!
How do I book a shoot?
To book, either contact me directly at morgan@watersphotography.net or fill out a contact form. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for booking. Let me know if you have any questions!
What happens if it rains?
I always keep an eye on the weather and prefer to wait until an hour or two before your shoot before taking any action. If an hour or two before your shoot its still rainy or super cloudy, we’ll reschedule to a date that works for both of us! For early morning sessions, we'll discuss weather concerns the night before.
Can I bring friends, family, or pets?
Yes! As long as you're the only one in a cap and gown, friends & family or pets are always welcome! For more than one graduate, please see my group graduate packages! For pets, please bring an additional person to assist in between shots.
Can I add more time to my shoot?
Additional time cannot be added to a session. All packages include a set amount of coverage to ensure a smooth experience for every client and to stay on schedule.
Where should I park?
Please do your research before hand since parking is super limited on campus! I recommend having a friend drop you off or using a ride share app. Walking in between locations is recommended in most cases.
What will you edit out of photos?
Color grading, light adjustments, cropping, and straightening. Removing small objects, such as minor distractions in the background
(e.g., people in the background at gatorwalk). Correcting slight wardrobe malfunctions. (e.g. random strings or stains). Retouching minor blemishes for a polished look.
